A grand fundraising auction has raised nearly £22,000 to help 10-year old Mia Lloyd in her fight against cancer.
Local businesses and residents came together for the event, which was held at The Cliff Hotel and Spa at Gwbert, on Friday, February 9.
In all, people donated £21,254 which will go towards supporting Mia and her family, as well as the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital charity.
Mia, a Penparc Junior School pupil, is currently receiving treatment at the Noah’s Ark Hospital in Cardiff after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma - a cancer that affects around 30 children in the UK each year.
HSBC bank, in Cardigan, have also pledged money to the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital through their pound-for-pound fundraising scheme.
‘TîmMia’ would like to thank everyone that contributed towards the evening. They called it a great success, with the amount of money raised exceeding all expectation.
