A DRUG-driver caught in the centre of Cardigan has been hit with a 12-month ban.
Gareth Hillyard, of Bryntirion, Bridgend, was stopped at Feidr Fair, Cardigan, while driving a Peugoet 206 on December 11 last year. He tested positive for cannabis.
The 38-year-old originally denied the charge but then pleaded guilty when he reappeared before the bench at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
As well as imposing a 12-month driving ban on Hillyard, magistrates also fined him £180, plus £310 prosecution costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
