QUEEN’S Terrace in Cardigan is to be shut for two weeks while the footpath is resurfaced.

The road is scheduled for closure from Monday, February 19 to Friday, March 2 while the work is carried out and Cllr Catrin Miles voiced concerns at a meeting of the town council that this could cause traffic problems.

“I have asked the highways authorities that the traffic will be two-way and there will be lights on Quay Street,” said Cllr Miles.

“If people are still able to access the car park in Quay Street, there will have to be lights for people to go back up there if Queen’s Terrace is closed.”
