BUDDUG Verona James from Rhoshill near Cardigan is “over the moon” that her student Lloyd Macey has been chosen by his mentor Louis Walsh, to sing in the live shows.

Twenty-three-year-old Lloyd Macey, from the Rhondda, started working with Buddug while studying on the BA Perfformio Actor’s Course at University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Cardiff.

“He has got through each gruelling round with aplomb. The six chair challenge was hell to watch, one moment I thought he was safe, and then right at the end he was in the sing-off,” said Buddug.

“My heart was in my mouth. To be through to the judges houses was fantastic, but to be through to the live shows is amazing. I am so pleased for him.

"Lloyd has an extraordinary talent, but that is not enough. From now on he needs all the support he can get. Without votes he will be going home, so I hope all of Wales will rally round to get him to the final.”

Lloyd’s progress is being followed by S4C on their online social media platform.
