A PEMBROKESHIRE chocolate maker will be hoping for the sweet taste of success when she launches her products to a national audience.

Gabriella Ujhelyi, from Brynberian, near Crymych, is about to showcase her specialist chocolates at the prestigious Country Living Spring Fair in London’s iconic Alexandra Palace from April 27-30.

Zamat Chocolates has been chosen from hundreds of applicants to feature in a pop-up market that each day will highlight 10 exceptional new entrepreneurs, bringing them to the attention of the wider public and helping to launch their business.

Originally from Hungary, Gabriella moved to Wales more than three years ago. The Hungarian word zamat means ‘distinctive flavour’ and refers to the unusual taste experience of her chocolates which are shaped by an exquisite bouquet of herbs.

She learned the art of chocolate making in Sweden and then gained valuable experience in herb production at one of the UK's leading organic herb suppliers in Somerset.

After learning about the characteristics of medicinal plants last year, she decided to fuse chocolate and herbs together in a new creative way.

Handmade chocolate pralines are infused with natural organic herbs and essential oils. Made using the finest Belgian chocolate, she blends its rich dark notes with the fragrant delicate aromas of herbs.

Taking her inspiration from the wonderful world of herbs and the Preseli Hills of rural Pembrokeshire, Gabriella hopes to forge exciting unconventional flavours to combine healthy with luscious.

Gabriella makes all her chocolates in Brynberian, Crymych and perhaps, soon they will be appearing nationwide?

She will be at the Country Living Spring Fair on April 27.
