DISTINGUISHED pianist, and patron of the Peter Gould Music Trust, Leslie Howard will be performing in Cardigan this week.

Howard has appeared internationally with the world’s finest orchestras and has undertaken tours on five continents in recent years as well as recording a 99 CD survey of the complete piano music of Franz Liszt.

His programme commences with the Sonata No 39 by Haydn and Beethoven’s Sonata No 8 in A.

As the world’s leading scholar on works by Liszt, the second half of his programme will be devoted to music by this composer and will include two shorter works together with the huge meditation on the Act 4 love duet from the opera Reminiscences des Huguenots de Meyerbeer.

The concert, promoted by the trust, takes place at Theatr Mwldan, Cardigan, on Friday, December 4 at 7.30pm.
