Following last year’s sell-out success Sister Act, local group Artistic Licence is delighted to be back at the Torch Theatre with J B Priestley’s classic Northern comedy When We Are Married.
It’s 1908 and three highly respectable couples, married on the same day in the same church by the same vicar are celebrating their silver wedding anniversaries with a bit of “a do”.
But these pillars of the community rapidly begin to crumble and pandemonium follows when they discover that they are not married at all.
In fact they’ve been living in sin for the past 25 years.
Showings are from Wednesday to Friday, February 5-7.
Tickets at £14 (£12) from torchtheatre.co.uk
