Spellbinding flamenco jazz fusion comes to Narberth next week as Span Jazz starts a new season of events.

Guitar virtuoso Eduardo Niebla brings a highly lyrical style and explorations into Indian, Arabic and classical music.

The guitar virtuoso and composer has been acclaimed as one of the most potent forces in flamenco jazz fusion, with a career spanning four decades.

Since 1974 Eduardo has made 24 albums of his original compositions. He has performed worldwide, including at Cairo and Tbilisi international jazz festivals, the Jaipur Festival India, the Queen Elizabeth Hall London, the Odessa Jazz Carnival, the Olympic Games Greece, the San Isidro Fiesta Madrid, Celtic Connections Glasgow and Glastonbury.

He has collaborated with artists across the globe including Indian maestros Nishat and Wajahat Khan, Deepak Ram (bamboo flute) Kala Ramnath (Indian violin); flamenco bass player Carles Benavent, the spiritual gypsy singer and percussionist Paban Das Baul, Palestinian oud player Adel Salameh, trance phenomenon Juno Reactor, the Dante String Quartet, Lol Coxhill (sax) and pop musicians George Michael and Craig David.

He continues to compose and record and tours with his latest album, Las Olas de Niebla, which again demonstrates his fluid, technically brilliant guitar work.
