Critics’ Circle Award winning company, Ballet Cymru, present an extraordinary adaptation of William Shakespeare’s masterpiece Romeo and Juliet live on stage at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven, on Wednesday, June 26.

Intense fighting, passionate duets and universal themes echo through dramatic and lyrical choreography in this exceptional and stylish production.

Exquisite costumes and extraordinary video projections create a world of danger and excitement where two young lovers are caught in an age old feud.

The tragedy was written by Shakespeare early in his career about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families.

It was among Shakespeare's most popular plays during his lifetime and its legacy is still as influential today on both the stage and screen and as part of the national curriculum.

Ballet Cymru’s adaptation is critically acclaimed by both press and audiences alike, and received the award for Best Large Scale Dance Production at the Wales Theatre Awards.

The production is a dynamic and unique collaboration between three of Wales’ outstanding arts organisations, Ballet Cymru, Coreo Cymru (creative producer for Dance in Wales) and The Riverfront in Newport.

Tickets cost £15, £13.50 cons and £8 for those aged eight and under. Tickets are available from the box office on 01646 695267 or torchtheatre.co.uk
