THE contemporary face of The Royal Ballet will be exhibited in a spectacular triple bill performance – Within The Golden Hour, Medusa and Flight Pattern - and will be broadcast live at Cardigan’s Theatr Mwldan on Thursday, May 16 (7.15pm).
Christopher Wheeldon’s Within the Golden Hour, set to music by Vivaldi and Bosso, is lit with rich colours suggestive of sunset.
Crystal Pite’s Flight Pattern uses a large dance ensemble and Górecki’s music from his Symphony of Sorrowful Songs for a poignant and passionate reflection on migration.
Between them, Medusa, a new work created on The Royal Ballet by the acclaimed choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, has its premiere to bring the contemporary truly up-to-date.
Tickets for Royal Opera House screenings are £16 (£15) and are available now from Theatr Mwldan’s box office on 01239 621200, online at mwldan.co.uk or via the Mwldan app.
