THEATR Mwldan Film Society present the romantic and beguiling film Columbus (12A) on Sunday, March 3 (6pm).
When his father falls ill, Jin finds himself stranded in Columbus, a small Midwestern city celebrated for its modernist buildings.
Jin strikes up a friendship with Casey, a young architecture enthusiast. As Casey shows him around town, and the two reveal their respective familial woes, they form a unique connection in this quietly profound film.
“The existence of a debut as confident and allusive as “Columbus” is almost as improbable as the existence of Columbus, Ind., where the movie is set,” says The New York Times
“In its precision – the framing of each shot is as eloquent as the dialogue – and measured pacing, Columbus is a balm, a deep tissue massage for the soul,” writes The Guardian.
Full annual membership of Theatr Mwldan’s Film Society is £70, which entitles you to free entry to all 30 Film Society films and £1.80 discount off all standard 2D cinema screenings at Theatr Mwldan.
