AS this year sees the NHS turn 70, Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru take a look behind the scenes of a busy cancer ward in Wales today with their new play Nyrsys, which will be performed at Cardigan’s Theatr Mwldan on Tuesday, December 4 (7.30pm).
This play, written by Bethan Marlow and directed by Sara Lloyd with English language access via Sibrwd, includes script and songs created from interviews with ‘real’ nurses.
It shines a light on nurses’ experiences – the challenges they face in their day-to-day work and the mischief, sisterhood and sense of vocation that sustains them.
A heartfelt depiction of the life and work of these real-life heroes who care for us and our loved ones within a healthcare system that’s under perpetual strain.
There will be a short talk in the foyer area at 7pm before the show (free to ticketholders). This talk will be aimed at Welsh learners.
Tickets for Nyrsys are £12 and £10 (concessions) and are available now from Theatr Mwldan’s box office on 01239 621200, on-line at mwldan.co.uk or via the Mwldan app.
