A VIOLIN and piano recital at Rhosygilwen this week is being held in support of a good cause.

Those who attended the Rhosygilwen Proms this summer are likely to remember the very talented violinist Katerina Nazarova and pianist Olga Stitkovetski.

They will be returning to Rhosygilwen Mansion on Friday, November 13, at 8pm to perform a special recital in support of Alzheimer’s research.

Katerina was previously a winner of the Australian Young Performers Award and has teamed up with Olga, who taught piano at the Menuhin School of Music and has helped a number of students win top prizes.

The programme they have chosen for the evening is perfect for any chamber music occasion and features Mozart's Rondo in C major, Bach's Sarabande, Partita and Gigue from D minor the first movement from Bartok's solo sonata and Sibelius' Novellette.

After the interval there will be a Ravel Sonata, Sibelius' Humoresques 4 and 5 and Sarasate's Zapateado

Tickets are £8 and bookable at rhosygilwen.co.uk or payable on the door.
