The Buildings:

The farm buildings are typical of a progressive farmstead development, being set around concrete yards in the main for ease of livestock movement and management. In recent years the buildings have been adapted for livestock use, but we feel that the buildings could be reinstated for dairy use if required.

Workshop (56' x 24'6") of block walls under a corrugated iron roof with concrete floor and doors to the front and rear being with Garage adjoining (21'4" x 10'7") of block walls under a corrugated iron roof.

Traditional L-shaped stone range under a slate roof and including a former dairy which houses a 10:20 Herringbone parlour and collecting yard with further calf cots that are now used for storage.

Adjoining the former parlour is a portal frame building with Yorkshire board cladding principally under a corrugated cement fibre roof. This measures 100' x 78' approximately and offers cubicles and loose housing and part has an automatic scraper. There is a further Lean-To cubicle shed of similar construction (55' x 22').

On the opposite side of the yard there are calving pens together with a bull pen and a further Cubicle Shed (90' x 45'). This building is an 'Atcost' style shed, being a former silage clamp and is constructed of reinforced concrete stantions under a corrugated asbestos roof. There is a central feed passage together with automatic scrapers.

Cubicle Shed (60’ x 45’) again being a steel portal framed building under a corrugated asbestos roof and providing cubicles with automatic scrapers

Block wall slurry pit.

Hay Shed (60' x 45') of steel portal frame construction with shuttered walls under a corrugated asbestos roof and with one bay Lean-to following the whole width with further Lean-To (41' x 19') to the side being of similar construction.

A plan of the farm is attached for identification purposes only.

The farm extends in total to some 170 acres or thereabouts of which over 150 acres maybe considered clean with the remainder being secondary grazing, tracks, farmstead etc.

The land is predominantly level or gently sloping and is all located within easy reach of the farmstead, being divided into useful sized, easily worked enclosures, the majority of which have access to the borehole water supply. Those fields not served by the borehole have access to natural water. The fields are well fenced, gated and ideally suited to a rotation of grazing and cropping and are capable of being grazed by sheep, cattle or dairy cows.
