Description

Godremamog dates back to 1885 and was a working woollen factory for 50 years making flannel which would have been used for work men's shirts (e.g. for colliers and steel workers) and for army uniforms. Its valley is recorded in the Mabinogion, a medieval Welsh saga dating back 1000 years which records magical events by the Cych river.

The mill was originally converted in c. 1971 but has been sympathetically refurbished and improved over the years to the award winning holiday retreat that it is today. The mill is a substantial property (about 4403 sq ft) set over 4 floors. Generous owners' accommodation lies on the second and third floors, the latter being an attic conversion. There are 4 further spacious, fully centrally heated, self-contained apartments, each sleeping 4 people on the ground and first floors. Each has been rated 4 Star by Visit Wales (the Welsh Tourist Board). The property is set in delightful landscaped gardens spanning the Cych river together with woodland and some pastureland - around 6 acres or thereabouts in all.
