The Chair of the Community Council, Cynghorydd Melrose Thomas welcomed Karin Morgan, Coastal Access Officer for Pembrokeshire County Council to the meeting. Karin updated the Community Council on the Coastal Path project for Wales and discussed issues in the St. Dogmaels area.

County Councillor Ian Gollop informed the meeting on issues and meetings he attended. Housing Forum Meeting, Community Leadership Seminar and contacted the Chief Constable regarding illegal parking at the High Street.

Mr. Jonathan Martin was co opted on to the Community Council.

New Christmas lights have been purchased and will be installed by Mr.

Mathew Penny, Electrical Contractor. Western Power has placed contact boxes in appropriate places.

OS maps evidence states that the start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is at Glanteifion. The Community Council will match fund with Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority for the cost of the project. Concern was expressed by some Councillors regarding the road safety aspect and a contingency plan needs to be in place.

Correspondence received from Pembrokeshire County Council regarding moving the fence at Glanteifi Hill. The County Council is in touch with the landowners solicitors.

A new traffic order was received from Pembrokeshire County Council at Feidr Fawr junction, Ffordd y Cwm junction and Finch Street.

The Clerk will send a file on Dwr Cymru problems in St. Dogmaels to Pembrokeshire County Council.

The Pensioners Christmas Dinner at the Webley Hotel was well attended again this year. Over 40 residents attended the Community Council sponsored event.

The Community Council will meet Cilgerran Community Council and Dyfed Powys Police to sign the PCSO contract.

The Remembrance Service was very well attended again this year. The Community Council would like to thank Rev. Gareth Morris, Blaenwaun Chapel. Cannon Rev. Dorrien Davies, St. Thomas’ Church and Mrs Sachko and pupils of Ysgol Llandudoch.

The Calor village of the year plaques have been placed on a bluestone rock, from the Preseli at the entrance of the village from Cardigan.

Mr. Geraint Harries, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority Head Ranger (North) attended a meeting with the Community Council. Items discussed were Poppit Sands Café and car park. Dog fouling at Poppit Sands. The Disabled Access Wheelchair and the start of the Coastal Path.

It was unanimously agreed that the precept for 2008/09 will stay at £14,000.

Councillor Brian Ashford, Teifi Inn was elected as Vice Chair for 2008/09.
