‘A race night with a difference’ is how St Thomas Church St Dogmaels have described their Pig Racing Evening to be held at the Memorial Hall St Dogmaels on Saturday 31st January at 7pm. Bets will be placed and jockeys will prepare for this, the first race of its kind in the area. Top professional race hosts are being brought in for the night for what promises to be a real talking point for months to come.
‘This is a new venture for us and it promises to be a fun packed evening for all’. The Vicar, Revd Canon Dorrien Davies commented, ‘It is a race night with all the form of horse racing but with pigs. There will be a bar, and a pork roast to help this family event go with a swing.’ Pictured with race mascots are Canon Davies, Jean Walters and Bob Lloyd Jones, Church Wardens.
