Plaid Cymru, New Quay branch held their AGM recently in New Quay Football Club.
The branch’s members were present to choose the officers for the coming year.
Current chairman Dafydd Ieuan Jones was re-elected. (tel 01545 561209) Euros Lloyd was chosen as the branches’ secretary. (tel 07531 419 705) Pam Jones was appointed treasurer.
Mari Tan will be the branches’ membership secretary.
Local maters were discussed including the position of the Welsh flag in the town; the condition of the pier and the condition’s of certain streets in the town.
Following the AGM, the members enjoyed a poetry reading by Samantha Wynne Rhydderch.
Samantha read examples of her work including some from the collection that earned her a Book of the Year nomination.
Its was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, and we thank Samantha for her time.
The next meeting will take place in September.
