Bus Timetable Changes The 552 bus from Llangrannog on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays has had a number of changes to its timings and route. The main points of note are that in Cardigan the bus no longer picks up in the High Street but leaves from Finch Square, at 1.24 (Tuesdays and Fridays). Also note that Tesco is now a request stop. The Wednesday Aberaeron bus now returns at 1.10.

Welfare Committee The transport group has applied for a grant to pay drivers for the Park and Ride next summer, and is enquiring about the appropriate licence to allow charging a fare. It seems unlikely that the Rowing Club will be able to compete in this year's Ireland-Wales race (the Celtic Challenge) as it has not so far been possible to arrange safety boats. The event in the Ship for the Eisteddfod yr Urdd raised over £1,000. Congratulations to Sara Beechey, the organiser. Clwb Gwawr has organised its first two events. During the fireworks evening the lights in the toilets were not working and Martin Greig will contact the Council about this. There is a possibility of a formal link with Carantec, Brittany. Like Llangrannog, Carantec was founded by St. Crannog. The churches in the two villages have already been in contact, and representatives from Llangrannog will visit Carantec in July. It was suggested that a community link could be established as well as the church link. Martin Greig will look into this. New Parking Restrictions: The County Council’s Traffic Management Officer met a small group of local business people and heard ideas about increasing parking in the present 1 hour parking zone on the road by the Ship, employing a ‘herringbone’ parking system. It is likely that the council will take responsibility for enforcement in the future, and only then will there be any possibility of residents parking places. The officer promised to write to the committee shortly. The treasurer suggested that the Committee could consider changing its legal status to become a company limited by guarantee, affording some protection to Committee members in the event of legal action being taken against the committee. It was agreed that the appropriate time to discuss this will be in the next AGM.
