The building has been totally refurbished and brought back into use in the community as a place of "Life Long Learning".

The refurbishment work is almost complete and they are looking forward to start using the building in January 2010. It has been designed for multi functional use.

A questionnaire was sent out asking all the people in the locality what their requirements were, and what was needed in the area. The feedback they received from people living in the area, included classes in art (painting and drawing) I.T., cookery, photography, music, pottery, sculpture, story writing, poetry, dancing, gardening for children and adults.

Exhibitions, stained glass workshops, film evenings, beekeeping, talks and demonstrations on many subjects including flower arranging, scrapbooking. Natural healing, healthy eating, healthy living. Meditation and language classes (including Welsh) With there being such a wide variety of requests, they are hoping to provide and deliver the requests in a professional manner.

It is envisaged that The Powerhouse will be a place for the community to get together to talk, share and learn, providing education for all ages. If you would like any further information about this exciting project please contact Penelope Clark on 01559 384849 or Fioled Jones on 01559 384 617
