The Market Hall will have a variety of activities and Hanes Emlyn will have their usual exhibition plus previous Victorian evening photographs from 2005 to 2008. Presentation of awards will take place after the shops have closed.

HANES EMLYN HISTORY: The exhibitions are still open due to popular demand. We are open Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 2.30pm. Alongside our “Then & Now” photo exhibition are some new items. A great deal of research has gone into producing a record of every gravestone and memorial to those who fell in the 1914-18 War over a five-mile radius from Newcastle Emlyn. The latest project is to put names to people on group photographs and we have had quite a response to this. We have just acquired a large number of group photographs from Henllan Modern School and early Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn groups. Several people are helping us with these at the moment but if you think you can help name these pupils please call in and see us. We would like to thank everyone who responded to our appeal and called in or phoned giving information on many of the photographs and also added more photographs to the collection. We will also be open on Victorian Evening when our displays will include Old Victorian Evening photographs from 2004 to 2007. The castle, schools, railway, duel and the electricity sets are still to be seen enhanced by computer displays. These have all been enjoyed over the last few weeks by a large number of visitors.
