THERE have been no further deaths with coronvirus recorded at Wirral hospitals - NHS England has confirmed this afternoon.

It means the that the total number of patients who have died with Covid-19 at Wirral University Teaching Hospital - which runs Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge - since the pandemic began remains at 358.

Nationally, a further 293 people, who tested positive for the virus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 44,757.

Patients were aged between 38 and 98 years old. All except eight (aged 59 to 86 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from October 31 to Monday (December 14).

Their families have been informed.
