Newcastle Emlyn Football Club has wasted no time in appointing a successor to manager Mathew Price who was sacked last week.
The Reds have opted for vastly experienced Wayne Price who ironically was signed by Price during the January transfer window.
The 29-year-old former defender with Carmarthen Town and Haverfordwest County he played 255 games in the Welsh Premier League and scored 11 goals in a ten year career.
A club spokesperson said: "All at Newcastle Emlyn wish Wayne every success in his first managerial role when he will be assisted by first team coach Sean Cresser.
The Reds play Haverfordwest in a pre-season friendly at the New Bridge Meadow Stadium on Wednesday, July 15 (kick off 7.30pm.) When the rivals met a year ago they shared six goals.
