After a promising start to the season back-to-back defeats have dented the promotion hopes of Llandysul in Division Five.

After posting 186 at Margam the Teifisiders must have had high hopes when snapping three quick wickets. But Chris Parry (69 not out) and Robert Davies (35 not out) saw the home side to victory for the loss of five wickets.

It was also disappointment for Llandysul Seconds in the Division Five Reserve League as they went down to a five-wicket defeat against their Margam counterparts at Tir Dref.

It was a dismal batting performance by the homesters who were dismissed for 67 in 36.3 overs. At one stage they were 41-9 until Aled Jones at number eleven hit 19.

As the visitors got the runs for the loss of five wickets opener Josh Curtis was top scorer with 26.

For Llandysul Under 14’s captain Iestyn Evans snapped two wickets in three balls.
