Newport Links lady captain with some of the winners at the open day
Newport Links Golf Club ladies section recently held a very successful open day.
More than 50 ladies entered the competition for teams of three. The winners were Christine Rees, Jane Ingram and Paula James from Carmarthen, second place from Haverfordwest were Andrea Duddan, Pratibha Kanse and Chris Halpin, in third place were Andrea Evans, Barbara Evans and Ruth Noott from Newport Links.
The Mansel Davies Salver for the best Individual Newport Lady was won by Andrea Evans. Nearest the line from Carmarthen was Jane Lindquist, nearest the pin was Andrea Evans from Newport Links. The only twos winner was Ann Thomas from Derllys Court.
