Cardigan Bowling Club hosted the Nailsea Bowling Club touring side in Gwbert road on September 1, which was organised by club chairman Bob Tomkins in liaison with the tour organiser Idris Jones.
Idris was unfortunately unable to travel on the tour due to illness the day before. This would have been his 25th annual.
The touring side was made up of several bowling clubs from the Nailsea area. They were Avonmouth, Bristol Port, West Blackwell, Yatten, Concresbury, Portishead, Winscombe and the Nailsea.
Having played Lampeter on the Friday before playing Cardigan on the Saturday, then played their final game on Sunday at Aberaeron before setting off home Monday morning.
The weather has been very favourable and they have had a great tour. Bob Tomkins is hoping to reciprocate with a similar tour in the near future.
