St Dogmaels stole a march on their Costcutter League rivals before the start of the new season as they came out on top in the ninth annual Jimmy James Memorial 7-a-side Tournament in the Teifi Estuary village.
The invitation tournament involving local clubs provided an abundance of thrills and spills and some quality football with Saints worthy winners after dominating in all games.
At the semi-final stage holders Newcastle Emlyn went through with an extra time golden goal against Maesglas while in the other semi Saints were 3-0 winners against Cardigan Town.
The final was an entertaining spectacle with the hosts emerging 2-0 winners with goals by Adam Williams and last season's leading marksman Louis Harding.
The eight-man Saints squad consisted of Jason Williams (capt), Adam Williams, Craig Williams, Rhys Jones, Dan Jones, Chris Morgan, Louis Harding, Carl Woodhouse and Billy Myers.
