CARDIGAN Golf Club welcomed the Nolan Charity, the charity arm of Nolan UPVC Ltd, on Friday, June 8 as 80 golfers enjoyed ideal conditions.
It was the first time Cardigan Golf Club had the privilege of staging the annual Nolan Charity golf day, and from the feedback it appears everyone enjoyed the event.
The evening dinner was held at The Cliff Hotel, just a stone’s throw from the golf course.
Many charities will benefit from the generosity of all the competitors, including Ty Hafan.
The day attracted many from the world of sport including Welsh rugby legends Sir Gareth Edwards, Rob Jones and David Richards while former West Bromwich Albion footballers Joe Mayo and Nick Cross also took part.
The winning team was Oil for Wales whose team consisted of four local members - Henry Malloy, Casey Walters, Jac Emmanuel and Nigel Gooch with a score of 100 points.
Various prizes were on offer including a car provided by Gravells for a hole in one on the 16th. This was very nearly won as one competitor was only 42cm away from driving off in a new Renault.
