Newcastle Emlyn of the Costcutter League are tonight (Monday) hoping to capture a third piece of silverware when going head-to-head with fellow leaguers Ffostrasol in the final of Cwpan Coffa Dai Dynamo Davies at
Aberystwyth's Park Avenue.
Emlyn have already pouched the J Emrys Morgan Cup and Costcutter League Cup, are still involved in the Bay Cup and have an outside chance of lifting the Division One title.
In contrast Wanderers have been in the lower reaches of the league throughout the campaign, having won four games from 16 outings.
On the way to the final Ffostrasol sprang wins over Aberaeron Reserves, Crannog, Cilgerran Rovers and Llandysul while their opponents beat Bargod Rangers, Felinfach and Cardigan Town.
Most neutrals see Emlyn as red hot favourites to get their hands on a third trophy but Ffostrasol have been no slouches in cup competitions and although considered rank outsiders must be given a fighting chance of causing an upset.
