Hailed as a ‘successful rally’ by both organisers and competitors, the annual charity novice Bro Preseli Rally held over the weekend, and organised by the Teifi Valley Motor Club, saw 72 cars starting the event from Crymych Mart.

It was a dry night, the conditions were good and the varied 102-mile route tested both driver and navigator with 43 cars coming home.

Sponsored by Arjay Factors (Cardigan) Ltd and Robin’s Taxis, the overall winners were Robert Stephens and Nathan Summers in a Ford Escort.

The Semi Experts class saw Heulyn Phillips and Wyn Mathias gaining first spot, with Eifion Thomas and Dewi Davies in second and Daniel Morris and Tom Blair in third.

The Novices saw Daniel Owen James and Hefin Jones in first place, with Jamie Reynolds and Peter James White in second and Michael Buckley and Griffin Tweedale in third position.

The Beginners saw Dion James and Sion Phillips in first place in their Ford Puma.

Highest placed under 1400cc car was awarded to David Jones and Dean Wiltshire and the highest placed mixed/female crew award was presented to Daniel Owens and Talis Owens.

The Best presented car and receiving the Mobile Tool King Award was awarded to Joanna Bond and Iestyn Pynn in their MG ZR. And the last placed finisher was awarded to Dion James and Sion Phillips.

Clerks of the course were Barry Davies and Robert James who thanked all competitors, marshalls and everyone who helped on the night and the months beforehand.
