Crymych put themselves in exactly the right frame of mind for this weekend's WRU National Plate quarter-final clash with Ystalyfera at Parc Lloyd Thomas with a fully-deserved 10-3 win over Tenby United at Heywood Lane.

In completing back-to-back wins the Preselimen showed they have what it takes to pull off a sensational escape act in League 1 West after being rock bottom throughout the season.

Although still 11 points from safety, the north Pembrokeshire villagers have ten games remaining and eight of those are at home.

As was the case in the previous outing when pulling off a superb win at Penclawdd it was another impressive showing by Crymych who scored all their points during the opening 40 minutes and comfortably held out during the second period.

Blindside flanker Richard Sharp-Williams scampered over for the only try of the game, which was converted by outside half Jake Jenkins who also landed a penalty.

After the Plate game on Saturday the Preselimen host fourth in the table Gorseinon on March 31.
