When it comes to raising funds for worthy local causes members of Cardigan Pool League are unbeatable as they have shown by donating in excess of £90,000 since formation of the league 32 years ago.
The cueists came up trumps again last week in donating £500 each to fundraising campaigns for two children suffering from cancer.
Mia Lloyd has been diagnosed with metastatic osteosarcoma and has undergone chemotherapy treatment at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales in Cardiff.
Oliver Giles sufferers from Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and a campaign is underway to raise £20,000 towards crucial treatment.
At a ceremony in Cardigan Rugby Club pool committee members presented £500 apiece to the children’s fathers Eurig Lloyd and Ben Giles.
