Tributes have been paid to Joe Latter, a former Costcutter Football League stalwart and official of Llanpumpsaint-based club Gwili Rangers, who passed away at his home last week.
A league chairman from 1990 until 1994 he was affectionately known as "Mr Gwili Rangers" for his tireless work on behalf of the former club – he
turned out for them as a substitute on his 60th birthday.
Long-serving league secretary Geraint Davies said: "Joe was a character who did the Costcutter League proud in many ways and for a long spell.
"Personally I remember him as a faithful supporter of the league through thick and thin," he said.
The funeral is being held on Tuesday, February 20 at Parc Gwyn Crematorium Narberth at 1pm.
All Costcutter clubs are asked to observe a minute's silence before games this Saturday.
