The Youth Olympic gold medallist, Junior European individual gold medallist, Masters ladies champion, the Cynthia Meuir Trophy winner and Olympic torch bearer Carian Scudamore of Bailey Farm, Llandygwydd near Cardigan has been appointed as the 2018 British Show Jumping Association chef d’equipe of Wales, writes Anwen Francis.

Carian, daughter of Nigel and Delyth Scudamore, has been appointed in respect of the four Home Pony competitions which take place across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales with Mia Palles-Clark for England and Phillippa Curry for Scotland.

Carian said: “I am really looking forward to the challenge of being chef d'equipe for Wales. It's something I'm really passionate about and it's where we all start.”
