Bethany Nelson
BETHANY Nelson from Horeb has been chosen to compete at the Shotokan Karate World Championship to be held in Italy this September.
The 14-year-old, who trains at the Tekki RS Newcastle Emlyn dojo, has been part of the Welsh Kata squad since January.
Sensei Mike Rees saw her potential when she began training at seven years old. He said: "We are very proud of Bethany, she has worked hard to achieve her position and is always seeking perfection of technique."
