Buoyant Cardigan are one game from a place in the last eight of the Welsh Bowling Association Carruthers Shield after turning on the style with a 15-shot second round win against Gilfach Bargoed in Glamorgan.
And what’s more Paul Monders and team-mates did the business without a handful of regulars but those drafted in played their parts in a memorable victory.
In round three this Saturday the Cardis host Skewen on the Gwbert Road green with a place in the quarter-final at stake.
