Signs point to the Costcutter Football League being as strong as ever next season with new teams set to join and competitions in three divisions.

Division One champions two seasons ago Cardigan Town are already training for next season with hopes high of fielding two teams.

Across the Teifi at St Dogmaels there are also moves afoot to resurrect the reserves while it is hoped Dewi Stars will have two teams.

After last week's league management committee meeting long-serving secretary Geraint Davies told the Tivyside: "From what we can gather there are strong possibilities of three divisions next season. Although not yet confirmed there are signals from the south of the county over the possibility of reserve teams being formed, something that also applies to Dewi Stars and possibly other clubs, so there is definitely hope of a strong set-up."

Relegation from Division One and promotion from the Second Division for last season will be decided at the annual general meeting on June 4 when the new format will be clarified.

The AGM is likely to ratify a proposal by the league management to make it easier for clubs to enter teams in the Youth Cup by making it an Under 19 competition.
