Producing a battling performance Llechryd earned an away draw against Pembroke County Cricket League Division Two leaders Llangwm.

Taking advantage of a good batting strip the pacesetters posted 236-8 in 45 overs with opener Joseph Kiff, whose 77 included nine boundaries, Luke Brook (33) and Jonathan Twigg (33) the main contributors.

Paceman Graham Keen snapped three wickets but went for 77 runs while Leighton O'Conner conceded 58 runs in taking two wickets.

Llechryd's Ollie Roberts made a stylish 72 and Johnny Lewis weighed in with a fine innings of 70 but the visitors could not overhaul their opponents' total and at the close were 185-5.

Llechryd Seconds moved into third in Division Four after a massive win over visitors and bottom of the pile Pembroke Seconds.

John Curran stole the limelight as Llechryd made 283 without loss, the young opener going after the visitors' attack from the word go and scoring all round the wicket in making 204 not out. Curran was given support by opening partner Tomos Davies who was unbeaten on 57.

Pembroke were dismissed for 94 as Scott Thomas snapped three wickets for seven runs and Peter Gregory picked up two wickets.

In the same division fourth-placed Crymych went down to a seven-wicket away defeat against leaders Narberth Seconds.

Crymych made 177-8 with Richard Thorne again the mainstay with an innings of 82 while Dafydd Wright was unbeaten on 42.

Andrew Williams took three wickets and there were two apiece for Mathew Johns and Nic Evans.

In the Narberth reply David Johns was unbeaten on 71 and Mathew Johns was not out 64 as the homesters made 178-3 and picked up 29 points.
