Showing outstanding cup-fighting qualities, Ffostrasol came out on top 6-4 against battling Dewi Stars at Troedyrhiw Park to lift the Costcutter League Youth Cup for the first time since season 1980-81.
Wanderers led 3-1 after the opening 45 minutes but were pegged back by the Llanddewi Brefi lads who were still in the game midway through the second half at 4-3 but goals by Dion Phillips and Cian Edwards put their opponents in the ascendancy.
First half scorers for Ffostrasol were Ethan Davies, Bleddyn Morgan and Carwyn Morgan and the fourth goal was struck by attacking midfielder Bleddyn Morgan.
Rhodri Jones netted twice for Stars and when Dion Davies made it 4-3 a turnaround appeared likely but Ffostrasol stood tall and at 5-3 it was virtually game, set and match.
