Dreams came true for Tivyside Pony Club member Georgia James of Llangoedmor when she recently qualified for the Royal International Horse Show in Hickstead.
Riding her grandmother’s coloured gelding, Chester, Georgia qualified at the BSPS Area 10 Show at the West Mid Showground in Shrewsbury.
Georgia and Chester won the RI Open 133cm WHP class and were also crowned Working Hunter Champions.
“I’m so chuffed,” said Georgia. She added: “It’s my last year competing on him as I will be too old next year so I’m really chuffed to bits.”
Her grandmother Jane James is “over the moon.”
“Georgia was the only clear and the track was full up. The first fence is usually inviting, but it was a huge spread and they did it! The pony tried his heart out and went lovely. It was a brilliant day,” said Jane.
