The gulf between Division 1 West and Division 3 West A was brought into focus as Aberystwyth sprang a 45-14 win over Cardigan at King George V Playing Field to earn a Pembrokeshire KO Cup final showdown with Tenby United of League 2 West A.
The visitors were superior in most departments and led 21-7 at the break before adding a further 24 points during the second period.
For the visitors there were tries for centre Steffan Rees, his namesake at fullback, scrum-half Gruff Jones who bagged a brace, No. 8 Lee Evans, outside half Mathew Hughes and replacement centre Tom Slinger with fullback Rees landing five conversions.
No. 8 Sion Hughes got two tries for the Cardis, both converted by scrum-half Luke Rogers.
