Local bowling clubs have been taking to the green as the news season opens.
Wednesday evening saw the official opening of the 2017 season at the Newcastle Emlyn Bowling Club, members and guests were eager to kick off the season on their recently refurbished green.
The past president John Davies welcomed the incoming president Tom Potts in front of a large crowd of club members and guests, also present was the new county president Neil Immins and his wife Pat from New Quay.
Anyone wishing to join the club are welcome to attend on Monday evenings from 7pm.
Cardigan Bowling Club held their official opening of the green recently and mayor of Cardigan Mr Clive Davies was invited to bowl the first wood of the season. Pictured with the mayor are social/ friendly games captain Denzil Thomas, club chairman Bob Tomkins, club president John Marcell Evans, Aberteifi captain Lyn Jones, mayoress Myra Davies, ladies captain Pat Hawker, club captain Paul Monders, Ceredigion county president Neil Immins and greensman Iori Thomas.
