TWO Professional Darts Corporation stars Jamie Lewis and Jonny Clayton, who honed their skills in the Cardigan Open Singles League, have qualified for the Corals UK Open Darts Championship.

Lewis, aged 25, from Cardigan and 42-year-old Clayton of Pontyberem will compete in the 128-player tournament at Butlins in Minehead (March 3-5).

A total of 96 professional players secured places from the UK Order of Merit following six qualifiers and are joined by 32 amateurs who won through knockouts over four weekends at Rileys Sports Bars.

World ranked number 31 Lewis will play the winner of the first round game between Paul Hogan and Keegan Brown while world number 52 Clayton takes on Jimmy McKirdy in the first round.

Winner for the last two years is Dutch star Michael van Gerwen and there is live coverage on ITV4.
