HIT BY a recent spate of injuries, Newcastle Emlyn were understrength for the Championship clash against bottom of the pile Dunvant at Broadacre but the Teifisiders were boosted by the return of influential flanker Owain Powell after a long injury layoff.

The Swansea strugglers gave it everything they had and led at the interval but the Red and Whites took over during the second period to win 20-10 and the points they banked will almost certainly ensure safety.
