THERE was an abundance of thrills and exciting finishes with a number of former champions falling by the wayside early on during the annual Cardigan Snooker League Open Singles Tournament sponsored by Shapla Tandoori at Llandysul.
Marc Rees of Felindre produced a gritty performance in an exciting final as he overcame the challenge of Alun Davies of Llandysul in a final frame shootout.
During the tournament Barry Brown of Penparcau achieved a superb 117 break.
