A LARGE crowd turned up to watch the thrills and spills of classic motocross racing at the Crugmore race track in Penparc recently.
The 5th round of the Welsh Classic Scramble hosted by the Teifiside Motor Club provided some spectacular action with riders and spectators travelling from far and wide to attend this very popular event.
Aberporth rider Kyle Noble the current leader in the Welsh National Classic twin shock series experienced a mixed afternoon but he still heads the leader board with his brother Keelan just down the table in fifth place.
Andy Carter from Hereford took the honours in the Cardiganshire Grand National Shield, for pre 1960 and 65 machines whilst Rhys Edwards from Ammanford was the winner of the Geraint Davies & Son perpetual trophy for twin shock and pre 78 bikes.
Phil Rogers and Greg Wernham from Salisbury came out top in the sidecar event and Jonathan Randall from Hereford was the winner of the Dilwyn Davies Memorial Shield. The Garnet ‘The Legend’ Bowen trophy for riders over 50 in the pre 1968 machines was won by Phil Anslow from Pontypool.
