CARDIGAN battled through to round three of the Welsh Bowling Association Carruthers Shield on the Gwbert Road green on Saturday.
Paul Monders and colleagues sprang a nine-shot win over Llanbradach Bowling Club near Caerphilly who reached the second round after a six shot win at Porthcawl.
The Cardis, who were 78-71 winners over Parc y Dre in Llanelli at the first round stage have home advantage again in the third round when they host Skewen who beat St. Julians of Newport Gwent 75-74. The third round tie is on Saturday, July 23.

Welsh international Kevin James was on top of his form as he and elder brother Colin, Mike Williams and Brian Williams turned it on to win their rink by 16 shots.
