THE golden oldies of the motorcycle world take centre stage on Sunday in round one of the 2016 Classic Scrambles on a tough course near Cardigan.

Competitors from all parts of Wales and further afield will descend on Pantgwyn Farm, Llangoedmor for what could be a fascinating day’s racing with thrills and spills galore and for the first time this year an Evo class will be held.

Retired Greaves works rider Billy Gwynne of Banbury in Oxfordshire who was brought up in Sarnau and is vice-president of the Teifiside Motor Club which is hosting the first round is expected to attend.

Another super veteran 74 years young Terry Challinor, president of the local club who hails from Shrewsbury and is a former European champion, will be competing on his Triumph Metisse.

The action which features more than 20 races starts at 11.30am and refreshments will be available.
