Darts bonanza
A LARGE turnout of players from the Cardigan & District Darts League and the local ladies league, keen competition and a high standard contributed to the success of the annual Evan Webb Blind Mixed Threes at the rugby clubhouse.
At the semi-final stage Daniel Noble (Tafarn Yr Oen), Eirwyn Morgan (Clwb Rygbi) and Jane McGinlay (Tafarn Yr Oen ladies) sprang a 2-1 win over Gareth Francis (Lamb), Alan George (Morlan) and Eirwen Balman (Clwb Rygbi ladies) while in the other semi-final Rhys Jones (Lamb), Wayne Jones (Lamb) and Jen Scott (Wine Bar) were 2-1 winners against Nathan Davies (Red Lion), Richard Poole (Grosvenor) and Lynda Newman (Rugby Club ladies).
Noble, Morgan and McGinley continued in top form when notching a 3-1 win the final. Undoubtedly the player of the tournament was 22-year-old Jane McGinlay of Tafarn yr Oen Ladies whose exploits included a maximum and a 109 check out in the semi-final.
