REIGNING Costcutter Football League champions Cardigan Town have been dealt a major blow with the loss of classy midfielder Ben Davies.
The 29-year-old Davies, widely regarded as one of the best in his position on the local circuit, suffered a collapsed lung while accompanying his young daughter at a play area near his home in the town and was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Carmarthen where he was detained and expected to be released at the weekend.
Everyone connected with the sport will join in wishing the popular player a speedy recovery.
